What is a Carbon Farmer?
A carbon farmer is a landowner that has done the following:
- Prior converted 1990 reforested land (someone that owns land where
trees were removed before 1990 for agriculture and agrees to enroll in
CRP), or is considering reforesting
- Enrolled in the Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) or Conservation
Reserve Enhancement Program (CREP); or has put the above reforested
land into a long-term conservation easement
But most importantly, a Carbon Farmer is a landowner who believes money
should grow in
trees!
